Fourth Grade Art

Fourth Grade students receive art instruction once a week for 60

minutes.

 

Art engagements we explored this year include:

     Painting - Wisconsin Cows - Fauve Artists 

                  - Watercolor Story Quilt (Faith Ringgold)

                  - Great Lakes Watercolor Fish

     Drawing - Observational Feather Drawings (Georgia O'Keeffe)

                 - Op Art Colored Pencil Design

     Sewing - Pop Art Soft Sculpture Emoji's

     Design - Notan Design 

     Weaving - Concentric Circle Weavings (Alma Thomas)

     Clay - Ceramic Pinch Pot Fish

     Printmaking - Architecture Collagraphs (Frank Lloyd Wright)

 

Students will build upon previous art knowledge and personal experiences combined with new techniques to advance their skills.

 

Cross curricular connections include Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Collagraph Prints, Georgia O'Keeffe Observational Feather Drawings and Great Lakes Fish.
